I use the correct wood filler and nitro lacquer with no plasticizers as used on the 1950’s Gibson guitars.
The lacquer will check in time, and with cold weather. The aniline dyes I use are also like the ones used in the 50’s.
The colors will fade with UV light to produce: beautiful washed cherry, tea bursts, goldie ...etc.
I also use color fast dyes for those who want the color to stay permanent.
